It is interesting to read history on a cold evening, in a warm lounge, on a cozy chair while sipping hot coffee. But making the history is all about the uncountable laborious nights behind an idea, the hardworking weekends, endured eid holidays, fighting the bad weather, months out of the comfort zone, to and fro commute of thousands of kilometres in a week, and most importantly adding the very best of ones efforts to the project that is beneficial for the people of the land, because why not?
Here and now is marked in red letters as the National College of Arts begins its associate degree programme at the Gilgit campus on 22nd day of April 2024. Inaugurated by wife of General Kashif Khalil, the inauguration ceremony was followed by the commencement of classes on the same day. During the ceremony; Vice Chancellor NCA, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri announced that the GB campus will offer all the programmes by NCA, providing greater access to art education in the region. He also shared that a proposal for artist-in-residence project, which will accommodate 200 artists, has been submitted to the Higher Education Commission. Mrs. General Kashif Khalil spoke persuasively and with ardor for the new campus, which she believes will polish artistic talent in the region and make art education more inclusive.
The last date to submit your entries has been extended till 27th April 2024, 5pm.
